About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre is seeking a Consultant, Neurosurgery to join their team in Medina. This full-time position requires a professional dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of medical diseases and conditions within the field of Neurosurgery, adhering to established medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, and hospital policies.

Clinical Responsibilities

The Consultant, Neurosurgery will provide high-quality patient care across all aspects of Neurosurgery, in line with approved clinical privileges. This includes responding promptly to inpatient and emergency room consultations, ensuring timely and accurate completion of medical records, and providing on-call services as per hospital policy. Daily morning rounds will be conducted to identify patients ready for discharge, with discharge orders to be written 24 hours in advance. The role may involve other assigned clinical responsibilities related to Neurosurgery.

Academic and Research Contributions

This position involves academic responsibilities such as providing orientation, bedside training, and supervision to interns, residents, and fellows. Participation in departmental educational activities, training programs, and national/international medical conferences is expected. Maintaining and enhancing professional knowledge through continuing education is a key requirement. Additionally, the role includes participation in clinical, basic, and translational research projects to advance knowledge, improve postgraduate education, and contribute to the recognition of King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre.

Administrative Duties

The Consultant will undertake administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Section or Chairman. This includes participating in mandatory departmental activities and serving on departmental and hospital committees. The role also involves assisting the department in developing and implementing techniques to optimize resource utilization. Adherence to current hospital and medical staff bylaws, relevant rules, regulations, and policies, including staying updated on any changes, is mandatory. Following all hospital-related policies and procedures, and participating in self and others' education, training, and development are also expected.

Experience and Requirements

Candidates are required to have 5-10 years of experience in Neurosurgery. A commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient care and professional conduct is essential.
