About the Role

HASCO Group is seeking a skilled Accountant to join its team in Makkah, specifically supporting operations in Jeddah. This full-time position requires a professional with a strong background in accounting, particularly within the freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation sectors.

Key Responsibilities

The Accountant will manage branch-level accounting and financial operations, applying sound accounting principles. Key duties include:

Overseeing billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable functions.
Managing petty cash and performing reconciliations.
Working with industry-specific documentation relevant to freight and logistics.
Coordinating effectively with operations and management teams.
Preparing accurate and timely financial reports.
Utilizing MS Excel for reporting, including PivotTables and charts.
Working with accounting software and ERP systems.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following educational and professional requirements:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce.
SOCPA Registration.
A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Proven hands-on accounting experience within the freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation sectors.

Essential Skills and Competencies

Successful candidates will possess a strong skill set, including:

Good knowledge of freight cost allocation, multi-currency reconciliations, shipment-level P&L tracking, and revenue recognition.
Expertise in accounting ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Familiarity with freight and logistics management processes.
Strong analytical reasoning and meticulous attention to detail.
The ability to perform under pressure when handling high-volume transactional data.
Excellent communication skills.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, with responsibilities primarily focused on supporting operations in Jeddah and Makkah. The role requires independent management of branch-level accounting functions.
