The Role: Application Support Resident Engineer

As an Application Support Resident Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability and optimal performance of business-critical applications. This full-time position requires a professional with a strong analytical mindset and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently. The role involves hands-on troubleshooting and clear, effective communication with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert application support for business-critical systems, ensuring their continuous operation and availability.
• Perform in-depth log analysis to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot application issues.
• Maintain composure and effectiveness while working under pressure to resolve urgent incidents.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with all stakeholders regarding issue status, resolution steps, and preventative measures.

Required Technical Expertise

• Hands-on experience with Windows Server administration.
• Proficiency in IIS configuration and management.
• Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), including MS SQL and Oracle, with PostgreSQL experience being preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot API-related issues using tools such as Postman or similar platforms.
• Competence in basic PowerShell scripting for automation and system management tasks.

Candidate Profile and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in application support, specifically in troubleshooting complex business applications. A strong analytical mindset is essential for identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. The ability to remain calm and focused under pressure while managing critical incidents is also a key attribute for success in this role.
