About the Assistant Outlets Manager Role

Delta Hotels and Resorts® is seeking an experienced Assistant Outlets Manager to join our team in Makkah, with operations extending to Jeddah. This full-time position requires a professional with a strong background in hospitality, ready to contribute to the success of our food and beverage operations.

Role Overview

The Assistant Outlets Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Restaurants/Bars and Room Service, where applicable. This role involves direct supervision of restaurant activities, contributing to menu planning, ensuring high sanitation standards, and providing support to service staff during peak periods. A key focus is continuously enhancing both guest and employee satisfaction, alongside identifying and implementing necessary training plans to achieve departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Address employee questions and concerns, and monitor performance to ensure expectations are met.
  • Provide constructive feedback to employees based on observations of service behaviors.
  • Assist in supervising daily shift operations and manage the restaurant and related areas in the absence of the Director of Restaurants or Restaurant Manager.
  • Participate in department meetings, communicating clear and consistent messages regarding departmental goals.
  • Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates through various communication channels.
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to identify optimal solutions and resolve problems.
  • Assist servers and hosts on the floor during meal periods and high-demand times.

Operational Management

  • Ensure all employees are equipped with proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
  • Communicate any issues regarding food quality and service levels to the Chef and Restaurant Manager.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all restaurant policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Monitor alcohol beverage service to ensure adherence to local laws.
  • Manage operations effectively to achieve or exceed budgeted financial goals.
  • Perform duties of restaurant employees and related departments as necessary.
  • Execute opening and closing procedures for restaurant shifts.
  • Recognize and maintain standards for good quality products and presentations.

Guest Experience and Team Leadership

  • Interact with guests to gather feedback on product quality and service levels.
  • Supervise staffing levels to ensure guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met.
  • Encourage employees to deliver excellent customer service within established guidelines.
  • Address guest problems and complaints, escalating to a supervisor when necessary.
  • Strive continuously to improve service performance and set a positive example for guest relations.
  • Assist in reviewing comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees.
  • Meet and greet guests upon arrival.
  • Supervise ongoing training initiatives and utilize all available on-the-job training tools.
  • Communicate performance expectations in accordance with job descriptions and provide ongoing coaching and counseling.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in restaurant or outlets management within the hospitality sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee daily operations and effectively manage a diverse team.
  • Strong understanding of food and beverage operations, including menu planning and maintaining sanitation standards.
  • Proven capability to enhance both guest and employee satisfaction.
  • Experience in identifying training needs and implementing effective development plans.
  • Knowledge of local regulations pertaining to alcohol beverage service is required.
