Branch Manager

About the Role

Taiba Consulting Company is establishing its Jeddah branch and is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead its development. This full-time role is primarily market-facing, with a significant focus on business development within Jeddah. The position offers a performance-based compensation component linked to the branch's results.

Role Context and Scope

As a newly established office in Makkah, specifically Jeddah, this position carries broad operational responsibility. During the initial phase, the Branch Manager will oversee commercial, technical, and administrative activities. The scope of the role will progressively narrow as the team expands in line with workload. This requires a candidate with strong commercial capabilities, sound knowledge of the Jeddah market, and the flexibility to operate effectively in a developing office environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Grow the client base in Jeddah, targeting government, developer, contractor, and private clients.
• Develop and maintain business relationships on behalf of the company.
• Actively pursue new opportunities and convert them into signed work.
• Monitor tenders and coordinate submissions with the head office.
• Prepare and follow up on prequalification documents, proposals, and client presentations.
• Handle branch correspondence, client registrations, and portal submissions.
• Oversee branch operations and project delivery, and supervise branch staff.
• Follow up on invoicing and collections with clients.
• Provide direct support on project and administrative work as needed, particularly during the branch's early stages.
• Report to head office on pipeline, performance, and forecasts.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 5-10 years of established experience in a business development, client-facing, or managerial capacity within engineering consultancy.
• Practical working experience in Jeddah and a sound understanding of the local market.
• Demonstrated record of developing client relationships and securing new work.

Required Skills

• Capacity to work across a broad range of functions within a small and growing office.
• Self-directed, with the ability to operate independently while reporting to head office.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English.
