About the Role

Panda Retail Company – Savola Group is seeking a Buyer, Private Label Management to join our team. This full-time position is based in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and focuses on executing daily purchasing activities for assigned categories.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Buyer is responsible for managing supplier coordination, purchase order processing, and performance tracking to ensure product availability, cost efficiency, and compliance with commercial standards. This role supports category growth by analyzing sales and demand data, monitoring market trends, and collaborating with internal stakeholders. The objective is to optimize sourcing decisions, improve margins, and maintain a reliable and competitive product assortment across commercial food, private label, B2B, and global sourcing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute category purchasing activities for assigned products to ensure timely availability, cost efficiency, and alignment with approved buying plans.
• Analyze sales performance, demand forecasts, and stock levels to optimize order quantities and minimize overstock or stock-out risks.
• Coordinate supplier communications regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and order confirmations to maintain smooth procurement operations.
• Prepare and process purchase orders within approved budgets and systems to ensure accuracy, compliance, and on-time supplier fulfillment.
• Monitor supplier performance against quality, delivery, and service standards to support continuous improvement and sourcing reliability.
• Support negotiations on pricing, commercial terms, and promotions under Category Manager guidance to improve margins and category profitability.
• Review product listings, specifications, and documentation to ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and private label guidelines.
• Track market trends, competitor pricing, and sourcing opportunities to provide insights that support category growth and sourcing strategies.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience in a purchasing or procurement role, demonstrating foundational knowledge in supply chain operations and category management.

Internal Collaboration

A key aspect of this role involves active collaboration with various internal stakeholders, including Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and Operations teams. This ensures that purchasing decisions are aligned with overall business requirements and contribute effectively to organizational goals.
