The Role of a Cardiovascular Technologist

Makkah Medical Center Hospital is seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular Technologist to join its team. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Mecca, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role involves preparing patients for cardiovascular procedures, operating essential imaging and monitoring equipment, and providing direct assistance to physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures, including cardiac catheterization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients thoroughly for various cardiovascular procedures.
  • Operate and manage imaging and monitoring equipment effectively.
  • Assist physicians directly during diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures, including cardiac catheterization.
  • Accurately capture and document all imaging data.
  • Monitor patient status closely throughout procedures.
  • Adhere strictly to radiation safety and infection control protocols.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of all equipment.
  • Collaborate effectively with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Support workflow efficiency within the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
  • Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess a strong background in cardiovascular technology. A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience is required for this role.

Work Environment and Collaboration

The Cardiovascular Technologist will work within a dynamic clinical setting, primarily in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
