DUBAI HOLDING is seeking a Commis 1 to join the team at Jumeirah Jabal Omar in Makkah. This is a full-time position requiring 0-1 years of experience, offering an attractive salary paid in Saudi Riyals (SAR).

Jumeirah Jabal Omar Makkah is located near Masjid Al Haram, offering comfort and Arabian hospitality. The hotel is spread across four towers and includes various dining venues, retail outlets, a gym, an executive lounge, and meeting spaces. Guests can experience views of the Grand Mosque and a diverse culinary offering that includes Mediterranean, Persian, Middle Eastern, and Southeast Asian cuisines.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and accurately execute orders from the Chef de Partie, following instructions and recommendations to complete daily tasks.
• Gather, measure, mix, and prepare meal ingredients, sauces, and seasonings according to established recipes and specifications.
• Wash, peel, and chop vegetables, fruits, and meats with precision, demonstrating proficiency in cutting, seasoning, and marinating meats as required.
• Execute cooking techniques and plating to the exact specifications provided by the Demi Chef or Chef de Partie, ensuring high standards of dish preparation.
• Document inventory of kitchen supplies, monitor stock levels, and notify supervisors of low stock situations to maintain sufficient supplies.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as braising pans, ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers effectively, ensuring correct settings for cooking and baking temperatures.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in a similar culinary role.
• Ability to follow instructions and recommendations accurately.
• Proficiency in basic cooking techniques and food preparation.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and safety standards.

Work Environment

The Commis 1 will be part of the staff canteen team at Jumeirah Jabal Omar, contributing to the culinary operations within a luxury hospitality setting in Makkah.
