Customs Clearance Specialist

About the Role

Seara International is seeking a Customs Clearance Specialist to join our team in Makkah, with operations spanning Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time role is responsible for managing and executing all customs clearance activities for imports and exports, ensuring full compliance with local regulations while minimizing delays, penalties, and additional costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review all shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
• Coordinate with relevant government authorities such as Customs, SFDA, and Ports.
• Manage the end-to-end clearance process from shipment arrival until final release.
• Ensure correct HS code classification for all shipments.
• Validate customs duties, taxes, and related charges.
• Liaise with customs brokers and clearance agents.
• Handle shipment issues, including inspections, holds, and delays.
• Monitor critical shipments to reduce clearance lead time.
• Ensure compliance with all customs regulations and company policies.
• Provide periodic reports on clearance performance, covering cost, lead time, and issues.

Qualifications and Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in customs clearance, specifically within the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of SFDA and customs regulations and systems (*, FASAH, SABER).
• Good understanding of Incoterms.
• Experience dealing with government entities.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, requiring coordination across various government and logistics entities in the region, including Jeddah.
