Role Overview: Data Engineer Talend (Saudi National)

MENA Consultant is seeking a Data Engineer – Talend for a contract engagement based in Jeddah or Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This role is open exclusively to Saudi Nationals and focuses on supporting critical data integration operations.

About the Engagement

This is a 4-month project engagement dedicated to the ongoing operations, maintenance, and optimization of existing Talend ETL/ELT pipelines. The primary objective is to ensure reliable data integration, resolve pipeline issues, maintain data quality, and support deployment activities to uphold the stability and performance of enterprise data integration platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and support Talend ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure reliable and timely data integration.
• Track job executions and resolve ETL failures, operational incidents, and performance issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve platform reliability.
• Resolve data quality, reconciliation, and integration issues while ensuring compliance with service level agreements.
• Develop and implement minor enhancements, workflow improvements, and performance optimizations for existing ETL processes.
• Support deployment activities and production releases for Talend jobs and workflows.
• Manage operational incidents through ticketing systems and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and operational standards.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support runbooks.
• Collaborate with data engineering, infrastructure, and governance teams to ensure stable, secure, and efficient data integration operations.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience working with Talend ETL/ELT tools and data integration solutions.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent documentation and reporting capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple operational activities in a production support environment.

Work Type and Location

This is a contract position for a Saudi National, based in Jeddah or Makkah. The role involves supporting critical data operations within a dynamic environment.
