About the Datacenter Manager Role

The Saudi National Bank (SNB) is seeking a qualified Datacenter Manager to oversee the operation, maintenance, and optimization of its datacenter infrastructure. This full-time position is based in Jeddah and Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will possess extensive technical knowledge of datacenter technologies and a proven ability to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of the datacenter environment.

Core Responsibilities

The Datacenter Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive management of the bank's datacenter operations. Key duties include:

• Managing the daily operations of the datacenter, encompassing server, storage, and network infrastructure.
• Ensuring the continuous availability, optimal performance, and robust security of all datacenter systems and services.
• Planning, designing, and implementing datacenter infrastructure upgrades and expansions to align with business growth and operational requirements.
• Ensuring the scalability and stability of the datacenter to accommodate evolving needs.
• Developing and implementing disaster recovery procedures for the datacenter infrastructure.
• Overseeing the backup and recovery of critical datacenter components and services.
• Enforcing datacenter security policies and ensuring compliance with relevant internal and external regulations, such as SAMA and AML/CTF.
• Conducting regular audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Monitoring datacenter performance and implementing optimization strategies to maintain peak system efficiency.
• Analyzing system logs and performance metrics to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Leading and mentoring a team of datacenter engineers and administrators.
• Collaborating closely with IT operations, security teams, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless datacenter operations.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role must meet the following criteria:

• Nationality: Saudi.
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is required.
• Experience: A minimum of 5–8 years of experience in datacenter management is necessary, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity. Proven experience managing large-scale datacenter environments within a financial institution is essential.
• Advanced certifications in datacenter technologies (*, VMware, Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA) are considered a plus.

Required Skills and Knowledge

Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

• Strong technical knowledge of datacenter infrastructure, including servers, storage, and network components.
• Experience with datacenter performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with cloud-based datacenter solutions (*, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• A solid understanding of datacenter security, access control, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
