About the Role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Dir Revenue Management Cluster to join our team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is responsible for balancing the financial objectives of various lodging products to maximize total revenues across all hotels within the market. The Director will be accountable for pricing, positioning, and inventory management, overseeing all processes related to demand, revenue, inventory, forecasting, and opportunity analysis. This position also contributes to and recommends sales strategy for the transient customer segment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze revenue management data, identifying underlying principles, trends, and potential problems to propose solutions.
  • Generate and provide accurate and timely reports and presentations on revenue performance, ensuring delivery deadlines are met.
  • Maintain accurate reservation system information and provide support for cluster selling initiatives to all reservation centers.
  • Work with Market VPs, Market GMs, and GMs to assist in pricing analyses for all products in the market and validate conclusions from account diagnostics.
  • Contribute to the execution of predetermined revenue management strategies and provide functional expertise and leadership to general managers, property leadership teams, and market sales leaders.
  • Provide critical input to market leaders for the development of property and overall market sales strategy, ensuring hotel strategies conform to brand philosophies and initiatives.
  • Ensure that sales strategies and rate restrictions are communicated, implemented, and modified as market conditions fluctuate.
  • Prepare sales strategy meeting agendas, supporting documentation, and lead property and/or cluster meetings.
  • Conduct sales strategy analysis and refine as appropriate to increase market share for all properties within the cluster.
  • Assist with the development of 6-month, 12-month, and 2-year strategic action plans for the management of cluster transient revenues, and manage inventory to maximize cluster rooms revenue.
  • Provide recommendations to properties for business evaluation, pricing, and Business Transient Sales account strategies.
  • Lead efforts to coordinate strategies between group sales offices and regularly check distribution channels for hotel positioning, information accuracy, and competitor positioning.
  • Ensure property diagnostic processes (PDP) are used to maximize revenue and profits, and initiate, implement, and evaluate revenue tests.
  • Communicate brand initiatives, demand, and market analysis to hotels, clusters, franchise partners, and owners.

Stakeholder Engagement

The Director will act as a primary contact, developing and maintaining productive working relationships with all key stakeholders. This includes hotel General Managers, sales leaders, franchisees, owners, and the regional team. The role involves providing targeted and timely communication regarding results, achievements, and challenges to ensure alignment and collaboration.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major, with 1 year of experience in revenue management, sales and marketing, or a related professional area.
  • OR a 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major, with no work experience required.

Additional Duties

  • Inform and update executives, peers, and subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner.
  • Enter, transcribe, record, store, or maintain information in written or electronic form.
