About the Logistics Manager Role
Mindfield Resources is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee logistics operations for a leading FMCG organization. This full-time position is based in Makkah, with responsibilities spanning Jeddah and Makkah. The role requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience to ensure efficient and reliable distribution across the network.
Role Overview and Objectives
The Logistics Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of logistics operations, including warehousing, distribution, and transportation. This involves close collaboration with manufacturing, commercial, finance, and quality departments to ensure timely product delivery, maintain inventory integrity, and achieve operational targets. The primary goal is to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of goods throughout the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage warehousing, distribution, and transportation activities across multiple operating locations.
- Ensure accurate inventory control, maintain appropriate stock levels, and uphold warehouse discipline.
- Oversee third-party logistics providers and contract partners, ensuring adherence to agreed operational and service standards.
- Monitor logistics performance, identify operational gaps, and implement sustainable process improvements.
- Support cost control initiatives while upholding service standards.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align logistics operations with business requirements.
- Lead operational reviews, monitor key performance indicators, and contribute to the development of the logistics function.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or distribution, specifically within the FMCG sector.
- Proven experience managing warehouse operations, transportation, and third-party logistics providers.
- Strong understanding of inventory control, warehouse operations, and distribution processes.
- Experience working with ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong reporting and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience collaborating across multiple business functions.
Work Location and Type
This is a full-time position based in the Makkah region, serving the cities of Jeddah and Makkah. The role requires on-site presence to effectively manage logistics operations.
