Plumber

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Plumber to join their team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves maintaining and repairing plumbing systems within the property, ensuring all fixtures and pipes function correctly and safely. The role requires 2-5 years of experience in plumbing.

Key Responsibilities

• Address minor plumbing issues, including unclogging drains.
• Assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings as required.
• Conduct water or air pressure tests on pipes and fixtures to detect and locate leaks.
• Review blueprints, building codes, and specifications to plan installations.
• Study building plans and inspect structures to effectively plan plumbing installations.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the necessary angles.
• Install and maintain pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances, and fixtures.
• Perform various minor repairs as needed.
• Execute preventative maintenance on tools and equipment.

Safety and Operational Compliance

• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Ensure confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards and anticipate their service needs.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with others.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards in all tasks.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 75 pounds without assistance.
• Capable of assisting with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing over 100 pounds.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of various sizes and weights.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Comfortable moving up and down a ladder.
• Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience as a Plumber.
• Demonstrated ability to perform the responsibilities outlined above.

Additional Duties

The Plumber will also perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors, contributing to the overall operational efficiency of the property.
