Buruoj Engineering Consultant is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its team. This full-time role is based in Makkah, with project responsibilities extending across both Jeddah and Makkah. The company is involved in delivering complex engineering projects within the region.

The Role of Senior Electrical Engineer

The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead electrical design efforts for significant projects, including high-rise developments. This position requires strong design expertise and a proven ability to manage projects from initial concept through to detailed design and execution support, ensuring adherence to all relevant codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design for complex and high-rise building projects from concept to detailed design stages.
• Develop and review various electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, earthing, ELV systems, life safety systems, and energy management solutions.
• Ensure all designs comply with the Saudi Building Code (SBC), NFPA, IEC standards, and local authority regulations.
• Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including architecture, structure, MEP, and infrastructure.
• Review and approve electrical design calculations, drawings, load schedules, and single-line diagrams.
• Manage BIM-based design production, including clash detection and model coordination using Revit and Navisworks.
• Utilize the ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud) platform for document control, model management, and design collaboration.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports, specifications, and tender documents.
• Support site teams during project execution by responding to RFIs, reviewing material submittals, and providing necessary technical guidance.
• Mentor junior engineers and maintain quality control across all electrical deliverables.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in electrical engineering design.
• Strong design expertise and a proven track record in delivering complex, large-scale projects, including high-rise developments.
• Full proficiency in BIM workflows.
• Experience using the ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud) platform.
• Knowledgeable in Saudi Building Codes (SBC), NFPA, IEC standards, and local authority requirements.
• Ability to join immediately is preferred.

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, with project responsibilities covering both Jeddah and Makkah.
