The Role: Senior Engineer (FLS)

AECOM is seeking a Senior Engineer (FLS) to join its team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and involves contributing to complex engineering assignments within a global infrastructure consulting firm. The role focuses on performing detailed engineering tasks, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the quality of engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform specific and moderate portions of broader engineering assignments.
• Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established procedures.
• Execute detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and simple tests.
• Propose approaches to solve new problems by modifying standard procedures or methods from previous assignments.
• Identify discrepancies in results and implement corrective actions.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to entry-level engineers on technical concepts and best practices.
• Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with minimal supervision.
• Independently complete all tasks necessary for primary design elements of engineering works.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, reports, and design specifications for engineering projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews and validate engineering solutions against established standards and requirements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement enhancements to engineering workflows.
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations to stakeholders and project teams.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5-10 years of relevant engineering experience. Performance at this level requires demonstrated developmental experience in a professional engineering position, indicating a progression of skills and responsibilities in the field.
