About the Role

Salamatic Consulting (SCC) is seeking a Senior Fire Alarm Engineer to join our team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves leading the maintenance, programming, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems across our project portfolio, with a specific focus on Notifier brand equipment. The role combines hands-on technical expertise with team leadership and strategic maintenance planning.

Role Summary

The Senior Fire Alarm Engineer will serve as the primary technical authority for fire alarm systems on site. This includes diagnosing complex faults, programming and commissioning panels, and developing comprehensive maintenance strategies to ensure the reliability of life-safety systems. The role also involves supervising and developing a team of engineers and technicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, programming, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems, specializing in Notifier panels, SLC loops, devices, and network architecture.
• Lead, supervise, and develop a team of fire alarm engineers and technicians.
• Prepare and manage yearly preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and long-term maintenance planning.
• Execute preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance (CBM) programs to maximize system uptime and reliability.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and systematic fault tracing for recurring or complex system issues.
• Lead troubleshooting for panel faults, SLC loop issues, ground faults, nuisance alarms, and network/communication failures.
• Program and configure panels using relevant software tools.
• Prepare clear, detailed technical reports covering inspections, faults, RCA findings, and maintenance outcomes for management and clients.
• Ensure compliance with applicable fire and life safety codes and standards.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams on service delivery, planning, and reporting.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 10–12 years of experience in fire alarm systems, with strong exposure to Notifier brand equipment.
• Proven experience in maintenance, programming, and fault troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team of engineers/technicians.
• Strong background in preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance (CBM).
• Proficiency in root cause analysis and systematic fault tracing methodologies.
• Strong technical report writing and documentation skills.
• Experience preparing yearly maintenance schedules and maintenance planning.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Desired Certifications

• CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) is a plus.
• Relevant fire alarm certifications (Notifier/Honeywell factory training preferred).
