About the Role

Sahara Maintenance Services is seeking a qualified Fire Alarm Technician to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position dedicated to ensuring the optimal operation and compliance of fire alarm systems within our facilities.

Role Overview

The Fire Alarm Technician will be responsible for the comprehensive installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of various fire alarm systems. The primary objective of this role is to ensure that all systems function correctly and adhere to applicable safety standards and regulations, contributing to a safe operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm systems and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faults in fire alarm control panels, detectors, modules, sounders, and other system components.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance and functional testing of fire alarm systems.
  • Identify system faults and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Ensure fire alarm systems are operating properly and report any deficiencies promptly.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, fire alarm system layouts, and technical documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Coordinate effectively with maintenance teams and contractors when required.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and applicable fire protection standards and regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Fire & Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Good knowledge of both conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
  • Familiarity with various fire alarm control panels, smoke/heat detectors, manual call points, sounders, and related devices.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and fire alarm system drawings.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as an integral part of a maintenance team.
  • Proficiency in English is preferred.
