About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Storekeeper to join their team in Makkah. This full-time role involves managing merchandise, ensuring proper storage, and supporting departmental needs within the facilities. The position requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and organize merchandise by department, indicating proper storage locations.
• Deliver merchandise to the appropriate departments and stack received items on pallets or carts.
• Complete requisition forms for stock and supplies and notify management of low stock levels.
• Receive deliveries, store perishable products correctly, and rotate stock to ensure freshness.
• Inspect deliveries for freshness, cleanliness, soundness, and quality, rejecting damaged or incorrect items.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines and handling policies for all food-related areas.
• Organize, clean, and sanitize refrigerators, freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains.
• Remove empty pallets, cartons, and waste, placing them in designated storage areas.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, and complete required safety training.
• Comply with company policies, maintain professional appearance, ensure confidentiality, and protect company assets.
• Communicate professionally with guests and colleagues, fostering positive working relationships.
• Adhere to quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, lifting objects up to 50 pounds, and standing or walking for extended periods.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
• No related work experience is required.
• No supervisory experience is required.
• No specific license or certification is required.

Work Environment

The role is based in Makkah and involves working in a dynamic environment that requires physical activity and adherence to strict safety and quality standards. The Storekeeper will be an integral part of the operational team, supporting common goals.

Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to stretch, bend, twist, crawl, and stoop. Candidates must be able to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects, climb and descend stairs or service ramps, and move, lift, or carry objects weighing 50 pounds or less. The role also involves standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.
