Supervisor Housekeeping

About the Role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Supervisor Housekeeping for a full-time position in Makkah. This role involves overseeing daily housekeeping operations to ensure quality standards are consistently met and supporting management with various administrative and supervisory tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect rooms, public areas, and the pool post-service to ensure quality standards are met.
• Report on rented rooms, verify room status, identify unsuitable rooms, prioritize cleaning, and update departing guest room statuses.
• Coordinate efforts between housekeeping, engineering, front desk, and laundry departments.
• Document and resolve issues related to unsuitable rooms with the front desk.
• Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in assignment sheets and schedules.
• Report unresolved issues to the subsequent shift.
• Perform necessary administrative tasks.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplinary reminders, motivating, and coaching employees.

Operational Duties and Standards

• Adhere to and enforce all brand safety policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure personal uniform and appearance are clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and safeguard company assets.
• Support colleagues and treat them with dignity and respect, contributing to team goals.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Utilize computers and point-of-sale systems for work-related information entry and retrieval.
• Communicate clearly and courteously with guests and other employees.

Physical Requirements

• Move at required speeds (*, running, walking, jogging) to respond to work situations.
• Read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machinery for defects.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of various sizes and weights requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, as well as sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and steps.
• Ascend and descend stairs and service ramps.
• Continuously use manual dexterity and gross motor skills, with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity.
• Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds (25 kg) without assistance, and over 55 pounds (25 kg) with assistance.
• Push and pull loaded housekeeping carts and other equipment on sloping and uneven surfaces.
• Stand, kneel, sit, or walk for extended periods or at a high frequency throughout a full shift.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a related field.
• Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None required.
