About the Accountant Role

Core Responsibilities

The Accountant will be responsible for a range of essential financial tasks. This includes preparing and organizing disbursement documents, as well as diligently following up on revenue collection and its associated documentation. A key aspect of the role involves analyzing revenue streams and preparing accurate accounting entries to reflect financial activities. The position also requires recording financial transactions in ledgers and conducting audits of bank accounts, preparing necessary reconciliations to ensure accuracy.

Key Duties and Tasks

• Prepare and organize disbursement documents.
• Follow up on revenue collection and documentation.
• Analyze revenue and prepare accounting entries.
• Record financial transactions in ledgers.
• Audit bank accounts and prepare necessary reconciliations.
• Prepare and file reports and documents related to expenses and revenues.

Financial Oversight and Reporting

Further responsibilities include auditing financial claims to ensure their legal and financial completeness. The role involves monitoring current and capital expenditures against budget items based on monthly financial positions. Preparing the financial position and monthly summaries is a critical duty, alongside the preparation of annual closing accounts. The Accountant will also be involved in developing accounting methods and procedures, staying informed about scientific and technical developments in the accounting field, and preparing specialized expense and revenue reports for the dedicated database.
