AFR Operation Manager

About the Role

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking an AFR Operation Manager to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position within DHL Global Forwarding, Freight (DGFF), the Group's specialist in air, ocean, and road freight. The role involves managing air freight operations and contributing to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the department's P&L within the specific area of control.
• Drive growth in local markets in collaboration with field sales, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention through regular visits.
• Serve as a primary or secondary escalation point for customer complaints and special requests, working with internal teams for resolution.
• Ensure service quality and operational excellence by monitoring customer feedback, improving operational performance, and identifying process improvement opportunities using standardized performance tools.
• Support teams in adhering to Global standard processes for shipment execution.
• Manage supplier relationships to optimize service delivery and profitability.
• Coordinate and develop a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Lead the department, supervisors, and specialists in line with Air Freight Strategic objectives.
• Ensure teams comply with necessary regulatory procedures for commodity and shipment locations.
• Achieve productivity targets and ensure accurate job management control for gross profit maximization per file.
• Manage business relationships with existing clients, identify upsell opportunities, conduct regular customer visits, and achieve desired customer retention levels.
• For the Air product: identify supplier performance issues and propose solutions, and resolve customer issues and incidents.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of relevant experience.
