About the Architect Inspector Role

HanmiGlobal MENA is seeking a qualified Architect Inspector to join its Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team in Riyadh. This full-time position is integral to a major residential development project, requiring a professional with 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections of architectural works, including blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, ceilings, flooring, wall finishes, doors, windows, joinery, and architectural finishes.
• Review contractor Inspection Requests (IRs) and perform site inspections aligned with approved inspection and test plans (ITPs).
• Verify that all installed materials conform to approved material submittals and project specifications.
• Monitor workmanship to ensure adherence to approved construction methodologies.
• Identify non-conforming works and issue inspection observations and corrective action requests.
• Confirm completion of corrective actions before approving completed works.
• Coordinate inspections with Resident Engineers, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
• Participate in mock-up inspections and the approval of architectural finishes.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and photographic documentation.
• Support project quality audits and final handover inspections.
• Ensure compliance with Quality, HSE, and project governance requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural inspection.
• Previous experience on large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments is required.
• Experience with PMC, engineering consultants, or international contractors is preferred.
• A strong understanding of architectural finishes and construction quality requirements.
• Valid registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers is applicable where required.

Technical Skills and Competencies

• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of architectural materials, finishes, and installation methods.
• Familiarity with inspection procedures, ITPs, and QA/QC documentation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and inspection/reporting skills.
• Effective communication and coordination abilities.
• Problem-solving capabilities.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism.
• Commitment to quality and safety standards.

Professional Certifications

• Saudi Council of Engineers Registration is preferred.
• QA/QC certifications are considered an advantage.
