About the Role

SAP is seeking an experienced Architecture Advisor to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is integral to shaping the future of enterprise solutions by collaborating with SAP's Sales organization and the Partner ecosystem. The Architecture Advisor will define strategic account plans and bridge the gap between customer business strategies and SAP's solutions by developing future-state business and solution architectures. This position is designed for continuous learning and skill development within a supportive team environment.

Role Purpose and Responsibilities

The Customer Advisory Architecture Advisor (AA) plays a pivotal role in supporting sales cycles and driving customer adoption of cloud-based architectures. Key responsibilities include assessing current customer solutions to identify adoption opportunities, engaging with customers throughout their journey, and driving the definition of business and IT architectures. The advisor will act as a crucial link between customers and SAP product development leadership, positioning SAP solutions and understanding customer business processes and enterprise landscapes. This involves leading business architecture and capability mapping, ensuring IT feasibility, and supporting the definition and governance of customer cloud transformation roadmaps.

  • Support the assessment of current customer solutions and identify opportunities for faster adoption and consumption.
  • Engage with customers as part of the SAP account team to support sales cycles.
  • Drive the definition of business and IT architectures, ensuring alignment across SAP, customers, and partners.
  • Provide a link between customers and SAP product development leadership.
  • Support building customer demand through thought leadership.
  • Understand customer business processes, models, and industry reference architectures.
  • Comprehend the customer's current enterprise landscape and future requirements.

  • Support the governance and adaptation of living roadmaps based on evolving customer needs.
  • Drive solution expansion by highlighting value and linkages to the broader SAP Portfolio.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess considerable experience within software/IT organizations, with a background as an IT Architecture or Enterprise Architecture Advisor. Expertise in software solutions through roles in Solution Management, Sales, Presales, Adoption/Consumption, Consulting, or Business Development is required, demonstrating a track record of successful outcomes over multiple years. The ability to represent SAP as a trusted advisor is essential, alongside deep knowledge of Cloud, Hosted Services, SaaS/PaaS models, and Cloud-based commerce/business networks. Proven professional networks within the market are beneficial for driving pipeline and revenue growth. A proven track record of success in the selected industry area, if required, is also important.

  • Considerable experience in software/IT organizations in architecture or related roles.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful outcomes over multiple years.
  • Ability to represent SAP as a trusted advisor.
  • Deep knowledge of Cloud, Hosted Services, SaaS/PaaS models, and Cloud-based commerce/business networks.
  • Proven professional networks within the market.
  • Proven track record of success in the selected industry area (if required).
  • Proven leadership and project management experience.
  • Proven experience in driving tangible outcomes in Enterprise Architecture for customers.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in any other language is an asset.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) required; MBA or equivalent degree from an accredited university is preferred.
  • TOGAF or SAPIEA-10 certifications and experience using EAM tools are considered added value.
  • Saudi Nationals are preferred due to Saudization legal mandates.
