Role Overview

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Associate Director (Commercial) to join its infrastructure team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time leadership position focuses on providing strategic direction for major programs, with an emphasis on post-contract delivery and achieving commercial success. The role also involves upholding and promoting the company's values within the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for cost management matters and lead the Turner & Townsend team.
• Lead and motivate team members, providing direction and inspiring high performance.
• Undertake key account roles, ensure project execution, and maintain client relationships.
• Deliver assurance services to projects, including peer reviews, gateway reviews, maturity assessments, readiness reviews, and performance audits.
• Periodically assume major program delivery roles, leading the Turner & Townsend team on commissions, achieving stable delivery, and managing transitions.
• Provide oversight and assurance for Turner & Townsend's major programs in the region.
• Identify organizational needs, develop recruitment plans, and create role specifications.
• Play a significant role in infrastructure business development activities for the cost center.
• Assist in developing and implementing marketing and business development strategies.
• Provide client solutions and collaborate with the business development team on sales proposals and presentations.
• Coordinate with project team leaders on project negotiations and execution.
• Collaborate with other business divisions and teams.
• Ensure high-quality service delivery through adherence to Turner & Townsend systems, policies, and procedures.
• Demonstrate understanding of commercial business drivers and align work accordingly, contributing to business opportunities.
• Take responsibility for Business Unit performance and project profit/loss.
• Identify areas for opportunity and development to enable continued market growth.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in technical delivery of major programs.
• Demonstrated experience as an agile and emotionally intelligent leader.
• A cost management generalist with expertise covering estimating, cost, scheduling, risk, change, performance measurement, and reporting.
• Comfortable operating at a senior level and presenting to large groups and senior-level client bases.
• A demonstrable appetite for challenge, innovation, and continuous improvement in cost management.
• Ability to coach early to mid-career cost management staff.
• Comfortable working with remote staff across global time zones.
• Organized and strong administratively.
• International and cross-sector experience, with the ability to work in multi-cultural environments, is beneficial.

This position is based in the Middle Oraija District, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
