About the Role

Buro Happold Engineering is seeking an experienced Associate Director – Transportation to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position offers the opportunity to contribute to significant transportation projects across the Middle East, focusing on technical excellence and strategic development within a collaborative practice committed to sustainability and equity.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead transportation planning and infrastructure projects, ensuring both technical quality and commercial performance.
• Provide strategic transport planning input, encompassing master planning, traffic impact assessments, access strategies, and parking studies.
• Develop and review transportation models and network analyses to support project delivery.
• Engage with clients, government entities, and stakeholders to deliver practical and efficient transport solutions.
• Oversee the preparation of high-quality technical reports, drawings, and presentations.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in transport planning and traffic engineering.
• A strong portfolio of projects, particularly within the Middle East.
• Proven experience with transport modelling and analysis tools such as GIS, VISSIM, VISUM, Synchro, or SIDRA.
• Strong technical expertise in transport systems, traffic operations, and infrastructure planning.
• Demonstrated leadership in delivering complex transport projects and managing multidisciplinary teams.
