Associate Web Developer

About the Role

Namaa Partners is seeking an Associate Web Developer to join its team in Riyadh. This is a full-time, entry-level position (0-1 years of experience) within a strategy advisory firm, focusing on the development and maintenance of the firm's web presence and internal tools. The role offers a practical scope, allowing the developer to own finished work from the outset.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the firm's public website, including new pages, content updates, and necessary fixes.
• Convert material from principals into clear, readable web pages and documents, aligning with the firm's tone.
• Maintain small internal tools, such as a dashboard for live engagements or a shared research library.
• Test pages across various browsers and screen sizes, and resolve layout and performance issues.
• Document built features and maintenance procedures for future reference.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand page requirements and deliver functional solutions.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, acquired through academic study, courses, or personal projects.
• Some experience with a modern framework or content management system, with a clear understanding of prior contributions.
• Attention to detail regarding page readability, spacing, hierarchy, and client-facing text.
• Ability to work from concise written briefs and ask clarifying questions when necessary.
• An interest in the operational dynamics of organizations within the Kingdom, relevant to the firm's advisory work.

Performance Expectations

Within six to twelve months, the firm's website should be a reliable resource that principals can confidently share with clients. Requests for new pages or corrections should be completed efficiently. Internal tools are expected to be in daily use, with any issues proactively addressed. The successful candidate will also demonstrate initiative in identifying and resolving issues independently.

Work Environment and Decision-Making

This is a permanent, full-time, hybrid position based in Riyadh. Principals define the scope of work and publishing decisions, providing briefs rather than a ticket queue. The Associate Web Developer will own the build process, sequencing, and technical choices, and is expected to communicate realistic timelines. Any client-facing presentation aspects are reviewed by the principal managing that relationship. Escalation of issues is direct, first to the scoping individual, then to a partner if unresolved.
