Tweeq is seeking a Backend Engineer II to join its team in Riyadh. This is a full-time position requiring 5-10 years of experience in backend engineering. The successful candidate will contribute to scaling the systems behind Tweeq's core products.

Role Overview

As a Backend Engineer II at Tweeq, you will be responsible for scaling the systems that support the company's core products. This role involves working on high-impact projects within a high-growth environment. You will collaborate with a world-class remote engineering team that operates across more than 20 countries.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and scale backend systems.
• Build scalable, distributed systems and work with high-load architectures.
• Utilize backend tools and technologies including PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, GitLab, and microservices architecture.
• Integrate third-party APIs and contribute to product development.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code.

Required Qualifications

• 5-10 years of backend engineering experience, with commercial experience in Golang preferred.
• Proven experience building scalable, distributed systems and working with high-load architectures.
• Solid understanding of backend tools and technologies, including PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, GitLab, and microservices architecture.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and contributing to product development.
• Demonstrated passion for writing clean, testable, and maintainable code.
• A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently.
