The Role of Barista

The Barista will support the daily operations of the Calo Cafe, working closely with the Cafe Manager to ensure adherence to company standards. This full-time position requires a professional with coffee knowledge and strong interpersonal skills to maintain and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare coffee beverages according to established recipes.
• Ensure the functionality of brewing equipment and report any issues.
• Attend to customer orders and preferences with a positive and professional approach.
• Represent Calo's culture and values in all customer interactions.
• Ensure timely cafe operations that meet quality standards.
• Address and resolve any operational issues effectively.
• Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with colleagues.

Candidate Qualifications

• Must be a Saudi National.
• Must currently reside in Saudi Arabia.
• Minimum of 1 year of previous experience as a Barista in cafes.
• Possession of a certified Barista certificate.
• Proficiency in English communication.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Adequate knowledge of coffee and various coffee mixtures.
• Ability to differentiate coffee aromas and tastes.
• Extensive hands-on experience with professional coffee machines.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Understanding of useful computer programs and the ability to learn new software.
• Effective communication skills, particularly in written form.
