Role Overview

The Business Analyst – Sales & Commercial reports directly to the Chief Sales Officer (CSO) and is responsible for transforming complex commercial data into actionable insights. This role supports strategic decision-making across six sales channels: Modern Trade, Wholesale, Van Operations, International Markets, E-Commerce, and Sales Transformation & Systems. The Business Analyst serves as the analytical foundation for the commercial function, enabling the CSO and senior leadership to make informed decisions efficiently. This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring 5-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain the commercial performance reporting framework across all six sales channels.
  • Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance dashboards, tracking volume, value, distribution, and channel health metrics.
  • Prepare Monthly Business Review (MBR) and Quarterly Business Review (QBR) commercial packs for the CSO and CEO, including performance narratives and variance commentary.
  • Automate recurring reports to enhance data accuracy and consistency, ensuring timely availability to senior leadership.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses on sales trends, channel performance, SKU contribution, customer segmentation, and market share.
  • Identify commercial performance gaps, root causes, and emerging risks across channels, geographies, and product portfolios.
  • Analyze distributor, customer, and channel productivity to identify growth and efficiency opportunities.
  • Build scenario models and sensitivity analyses to support commercial decisions, such as pricing evaluations, promotional ROI, and route-to-market assessments.
  • Support the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process with data-driven demand signals and channel-level volume forecasts.
  • Assist in developing the annual commercial operating plan (AOP), bottom-up budgets, and phased sales targets by channel, category, and geography.
  • Track forecast accuracy and collaborate with commercial teams to improve planning precision.
  • Provide analytical support for new product introduction planning, including market sizing, cannibalization assessment, and launch performance tracking.
  • Support sales transformation initiatives, including route-to-market redesign and channel investment reallocation.
  • Evaluate partnership and distribution opportunities through financial modeling and commercial due diligence.
  • Assist in building business cases for commercial investment decisions.
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance, and Supply Chain to improve data infrastructure, ERP reporting, and commercial system capabilities.
  • Act as the data and analytics liaison, ensuring consistent commercial definitions and reporting standards.

Stakeholder Management and Communication

  • Translate complex data into concise, boardroom-ready presentations and executive summaries for the CSO and CEO.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior commercial leadership, proactively highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Build strong working relationships with channel heads, finance business partners, and marketing teams to ensure integrated analytical outputs.
  • Respond to ad-hoc analytical requests from the CSO and commercial leadership with speed, accuracy, and appropriate depth of insight.

Experience Required

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in a business analyst role, preferably within sales or commercial functions. The role requires a strong analytical background and the ability to translate data into strategic insights.
