About Egis and the Business Intelligence Specialist (SAP) Role

Egis is a leading global firm specializing in architectural, consulting, construction engineering, operations, and mobility services. With 20,500 employees operating across over 100 countries, including 3,500 employees across 8 countries in the Middle East, Egis focuses on creating and operating intelligent infrastructure and buildings that support sustainable development. We are seeking a Business Intelligence Specialist (SAP) to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in a full-time capacity.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the operational success of the PMIS solution. This involves safeguarding SAP as the system of record, guaranteeing correct financial integration, proactively preventing license and scope-related issues, and enabling seamless reconciliation and acceptance across OpCos and corporate oversight functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the SAP-facing integration workstream end-to-end, defining and validating integration objects (budgets, commitments, actuals, payments, vendor data) and approving interface methods with IT Apps.
  • Define reconciliation rules, including matching criteria, tolerances, timing, cutoff, and error handling, and produce/validate an Interface Register.
  • Validate that PMIS workflows align with SAP financial controls and processes, ensuring WBS structure and coding governance compatibility, and managing cost object mapping.
  • Design the SAP-relevant SIT/UAT test strategy, create test scenarios mirroring real lifecycle events, and define UAT entry/exit criteria.
  • Lead defect triage for SAP-facing issues, identifying root causes and prioritizing fixes, and validating resolutions.
  • Define SAP-specific cutover plan inputs, determine data migration approaches, manage freeze periods, and establish go-live checklists and rollback criteria.
  • Review solution architecture from a SAP licensing and access exposure perspective, challenging integration and user-access patterns that could create unplanned costs.
  • Act as the SAP counterpart for cross-functional stakeholders including PMIS experts, IT Apps/Infra, P&TA, and OpCos finance/project teams.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong governance mindset and extensive hands-on experience, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Key qualifications include:

  • Deep SAP finance and project-costing domain expertise.
  • Proven track record in integrating external systems into SAP.
  • Strong understanding of WBS/project coding structures, budget/commitment/actuals flows, and cost objects.
  • Experience in SIT/UAT design and execution, defect triage, and release readiness.
  • A risk-control and governance DNA, including the ability to act as an ERP design authority.
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge vendor designs, prevent scope creep, and understand licensing exposure.

Desired Attributes

Knowledge and experience in the following areas are considered strong differentiators:

  • SAP security and authorizations.
  • Data migration strategies and execution.
  • Exposure to public-sector or large holding-company governance models.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within a dynamic environment focused on critical infrastructure and building projects.

Requirements
