About the Role

PayTech Group is seeking a Cards Technical Implementation Lead to join their team in Riyadh, KSA. This full-time role involves embedding within client technology and product teams to drive the full technical implementation and productionisation of card programs for a BNPL platform. The specialist will focus on launching mass consumer credit cards, wallet-linked prepaid cards, and commercial card products within the KSA market, which operates under a principal membership model with the Processor.

Role Context and Impact

This position is central to a greenfield card launch for a high-profile fintech. The role requires managing BIN request and setup, ICA assignment, scheme certification, and the launch of physical and digital cards. The individual will directly influence how card products are introduced to millions of consumers in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery lifecycle for consumer credit, wallet-linked, and commercial card programs in KSA, including developing project plans for BIN request/setup, ICA assignment, CMS integration, processor connectivity, and Mastercard scheme certification.
• Drive principal membership enablement, coordinating ICA assignment, membership documentation, and regulatory submissions to SAMA to ensure operational activation within 8 weeks.
• Oversee card production and digital issuance, from design and personalisation through production, fulfilment, and digital provisioning, ensuring integration with the NI processing platform per scheme requirements.
• Execute digital wallet and tokenisation launches (Apple Pay, Google Pay, xPay), including MDES setup, tokenisation services deployment, 3DS authentication configuration, and end-to-end digital provisioning flow validation.
• Lead scheme certification and quality assurance, including MIP testing, parametrisation workbook completion, package configuration, SIT/UAT, performance testing, and security testing, with a focus on resolving P1/P2 defects before go-live.
• Manage authorisation, authentication, and dispute management configuration, ensuring post-launch operational readiness, production incident management, initial stabilisation, and comprehensive handover documentation for BAU operations teams.
• Coordinate with all parties, including the Processor, personalisation bureaus, and the client's product, technology, and compliance functions, by facilitating workshops, solution design sessions, and weekly/monthly governance meetings.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in cards technical implementation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical delivery lifecycles for card programs.
• Experience with principal membership enablement and regulatory submissions.
• Proficiency in card productionisation, digital issuance, and digital wallet/tokenisation launches.
• Strong background in scheme certification, quality assurance, and defect resolution.
• Experience in managing authorisation, authentication, and dispute management configurations.

Performance Indicators

• Achievement of card programs being technically launch-ready (BIN setup + scheme certification within the first 3 months).
• On-time delivery of project milestones against agreed project plans.
• Resolution of critical defects prior to go-live.
• Successful launch of digital wallet (xPay) provisioning, including Apple Pay and Google Pay.
• Consistent weekly status reporting and monthly SteerCo cadence.
• Positive stakeholder satisfaction, as measured by quarterly client feedback.
