About the Role

Afaq Q Tech General Trading is seeking a Category Manager - Amazon Now to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on managing the non-fresh category for Amazon's Q-commerce service, Amazon Now. The role involves internal collaboration across Amazon functions to ensure optimal selection, pricing, promotions, and activities, while achieving growth, basket penetration, and margin objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Category Leader in driving new strategic initiatives and business opportunities.
• Collaborate with Retail PF/Category Leaders to identify the optimum selection mix for top-line and bottom-line growth across Grocery and Non-Grocery portfolios.
• Identify automation opportunities to offer scalable solutions and improve key input metrics such as selection, profitability, pricing, and availability.
• Manage the P&L post-launch to achieve top and bottom-line targets, and lead projects to enhance profitability with critical stakeholders including vendors, operations, and advertising teams.
• Define selection assortment and continuously refine the mix to improve space utilization.
• Engage with the Retail team to source deals during Tier 1 and Tier 2 events, ensuring continued value for Prime Customers.
• Collaborate with retail category teams to ensure content quality is best-in-class, aiming to improve conversion rates.
• Negotiate category marketing funds from vendors (via the retail category team) for category visibility during business-as-usual and event periods.
• Partner with the Retail Category team to ensure asks are integrated into the Annual Retail Joint Business Plan (JBP) for common vendors.
• Collaborate with the Ads team to secure a fair share of Brand Ads investment for Amazon.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in category management or a similar role, preferably within the e-commerce or retail sector, with a focus on non-fresh categories.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role involves extensive internal collaboration with various Amazon functions and external engagement with vendors and partners to achieve business objectives.
