About the Project

Parsons is seeking a Civil/Structure Inspector to join its site-based construction supervision team for a major public realm development in Diriyah, Riyadh. This project encompasses the creation of iconic and neighborhood parks, open spaces, and over 55 kilometers of streetscape. The program's objective is to establish a vibrant, inclusive environment that enhances livability, accessibility, and community well-being.

The Role of Civil/Structure Inspector

This full-time position involves overseeing the quality and compliance of civil and structural works throughout the project lifecycle. The inspector will play a crucial role in ensuring that all construction activities adhere to approved drawings, specifications, local codes, statutory requirements, and international best practices, contributing directly to the successful delivery of the development.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend and promptly address Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by the contractor.
• Assist in reviewing submitted shop drawings against contract drawings, specifications, local codes, statutory requirements, and international best practices.
• Report any works carried out by contractors that are not in accordance with approved drawings and specifications to relevant stakeholders for appropriate action.
• Monitor the quality of executed works and daily progress on site.
• Maintain daily records of site activities, including progress photos, ensuring they are readily available for inspection as and when required.
• Prepare surveillance reports for work deficiencies and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) if required, in view of the development of events.
• Check and ensure effective coordination between discipline-related works and all other disciplines.
• Provide technical input and experience to resolve discipline-related issues that may arise on-site.
• Inspect construction works to ensure compliance with approved methods and contract requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive records of inspections and executed work.
• Assist in or perform work measurement when required.
• Observe and promote adherence to site safety procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess a strong background in civil and structural construction supervision. The role requires:

• 5-10 years of experience in a Civil/Structure Inspector role or similar capacity.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and codes.
• Proficiency in monitoring construction quality and progress.
• Experience in preparing inspection and non-conformance reports.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time, site-based position within the project area in Diriyah, Riyadh. The successful candidate will work as part of a dedicated construction supervision team, contributing to a significant public realm development.
