The Role of CoFounder – Chief Technology Officer

SOURCE | Ventures is seeking a CoFounder – Chief Technology Officer with over 10 years of experience to lead technology strategy and execution across a portfolio of high-potential ventures. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Riyadh, where the successful candidate will collaborate closely with the founding team to define technical roadmaps, make architectural decisions, and ensure the development of scalable, secure, and reliable systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee software development across multiple products.
• Guide engineering teams and set best practices.
• Engage in hands-on coding and technical problem-solving as required.
• Collaborate with product leads to translate business hypotheses into technical solutions.
• Prioritize features and manage delivery timelines.
• Build and mentor the technical organization.
• Manage vendor and partner relationships.
• Contribute to fundraising and investor discussions by presenting clear technical narratives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong software development skills with experience in building and scaling modern technology products.
• Proven ability in product development and translating business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Expertise in IT strategy and technology architecture, including designing scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.
• Demonstrated project management capabilities, including prioritization, planning, and cross-functional coordination.
• Experience in early-stage startups or venture building environments, ideally in or relevant to GCC markets.
• Track record of leading and mentoring engineering teams, fostering inclusive, high-performance cultures.
• Comfort with hands-on execution alongside strategic leadership; ability to work in high-ambiguity, hypothesis-driven settings.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including explaining complex technical topics to non-technical audiences.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Riyadh. Candidates must be eligible and willing to work in Riyadh. Experience in GCC or other emerging markets is considered an advantage.
