About the Role

St. Regis is seeking a Commis-Pastry I to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare special meals or substitute items as needed.
• Regulate oven, broiler, grill, and roaster temperatures.
• Retrieve food from freezer storage for thawing in refrigeration.
• Ensure proper food portioning, arrangement, and garnishing.
• Maintain food logs and monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food.
• Communicate assistance needs during busy periods.
• Inform the Chef of excess food items for potential use in daily specials.
• Notify Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items.
• Ensure the overall quality of food items prepared.
• Prepare and cook food in accordance with recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
• Prepare cold food items.

Team Support and Operations

Assist management with employee hiring, training, scheduling, evaluations, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching, serving as a role model. Adhere to all company and safety and security policies and procedures. Report any maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions to management. Complete required safety training and certifications. Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance. Protect company assets and maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information.

Guest Service and Professional Conduct

Anticipate and address guests' service needs. Communicate clearly and professionally with others. Develop and maintain positive working relationships, supporting team goals and responding appropriately to employee concerns. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Tasks may involve reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. The ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 25 pounds or less without assistance is necessary. Other reasonable job duties may be requested by supervisors.
