About the Compliance Assessment Director Role

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority is seeking a Compliance Assessment Director to lead its operational assessment functions. This full-time position, based in Riyadh, requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience to ensure adherence to high standards and provide critical reports to executive management. The role involves assessing risks across all operational levels and contributing to the strategic direction of the entity.

Role Objectives and Strategic Alignment

The primary objective of this role is to lead the entity's operations through comprehensive risk assessment and adherence to the highest standards. This includes preparing essential reports for executive management, updating them on performance, and ensuring strategic alignment with the government and customs sector's overall objectives. The Director will be instrumental in developing and implementing operational strategies that support the entity's goals.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Participate in developing the entity's overall strategy for government and customs, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Develop the entity's operational strategy, aligning it with broader government and customs sector strategies.
  • Implement strategies and provide necessary inputs to achieve organizational goals.
  • Discuss financial requirements with executive management and provide input for their implementation.
  • Ensure optimal financial resource utilization and report on implementation and challenges.
  • Oversee budget achievement and the development of budgets that lead to positive financial and operational outcomes.
  • Collaborate with entity leaders to understand current operations, collect inputs, and identify potential risks that could disrupt operations.
  • Oversee the establishment of a comprehensive framework for identifying and managing events or circumstances that may affect the operational cycle.
  • Oversee the development of all risk sources, provide necessary support, and assess assumed risks.
  • Lead the operational development and updating for executive leadership to form a vision of potential risks affecting government and customs operations, and monitor adherence to defined risks.
  • Lead the development and updating of annual risk assessments for executive leadership to determine adherence to defined entity risks.
  • Develop and classify risks according to predefined categories.
  • Provide reports to executive leadership on risk development.
  • Prepare and consolidate reports for executive management regarding government and customs operations.
  • Lead weekly operational leadership meetings, providing necessary inputs for entity operations.
  • Provide guidance and direction to direct reports to ensure task implementation according to entity plans and policies.
  • Develop entity goals and provide necessary support and assessments for sustainable entity development.
  • Foster a culture of high operational excellence and enhance the entity's value.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Financial Sciences or an equivalent qualification is required.
  • A Master's degree in Financial Sciences or an equivalent qualification is preferred.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position located in Riyadh.
