About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center (KFSH) in Riyadh is seeking a Consultant, Cardiac Surgery Adult Cardiac Surgery. This full-time position involves the diagnosis and treatment of medical diseases and conditions within the field of Cardiac Surgery, ensuring the provision of high-quality medical care in accordance with established bylaws, rules, regulations, and hospital policies. The role requires 5-10 years of experience.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care across all aspects of Cardiac Surgery, adhering to approved clinical privileges.
• Deliver consultations (inpatient and emergency room) upon request, responding promptly within KFSH&RC policy guidelines.
• Ensure timely completion, accuracy, and eligibility of medical records.
• Provide on-call service, maintaining availability and response times as per hospital policy.
• Conduct daily morning rounds to identify patients ready for discharge and ensure discharge orders are written 24 hours prior to discharge.
• Perform other assigned clinical responsibilities related to Cardiac Surgery.

Academic Contributions

• Offer orientation, bedside training, and supervision to interns, residents, and fellows as assigned.
• Participate in departmental educational activities and training programs.
• Engage in national and international medical conferences.
• Maintain and enhance professional knowledge and continuing education requirements.

Research Engagement

• Participate in clinical, basic, and translational research projects in accordance with Research Advisory Council Policy.
• Contribute to advancing knowledge, improving the quality of postgraduate education, and enhancing KFSH&RC's national and international recognition.

Administrative Duties

• Undertake administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Section or Chairman.
• Participate in all mandatory departmental activities and serve on departmental and hospital committees and other administrative functions as required.
• Assist the department in developing and implementing techniques and practices to maximize resource utilization within the department and across KFSH&RC.
• Adhere to current hospital and medical staff bylaws, relevant rules, regulations, and policies, staying updated on any changes.
• Follow all hospital-related policies and procedures.
• Participate in self and others’ education, training, and development as applicable.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
