About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center (KFSH) in Riyadh is seeking a Consultant, General Dentistry for a full-time position. This role is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of medical diseases and conditions, alongside providing comprehensive medical care within the field of General Dentistry. The Consultant will operate in strict adherence to current medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, and the hospital's established policies and procedures.

Clinical Responsibilities

The Consultant will deliver high-quality patient care across all aspects of General Dentistry, aligned with approved clinical privileges. Key clinical duties include:

• Providing consultation services for inpatients and emergency room cases upon request, ensuring timely responses as per KFSH&RC policy.
• Ensuring the timely completion, accuracy, and eligibility of medical records.
• Providing on-call services and maintaining availability with prescribed response times in accordance with hospital policy.
• Conducting daily morning rounds to identify patients ready for discharge and ensuring discharge orders are written 24 hours prior to discharge.
• Performing any other assigned clinical responsibilities related to General Dentistry.

Academic Contributions

This role involves active participation in the academic mission of the department and hospital, including:

• Providing orientation, bedside training, and supervision to interns, residents, and fellows as assigned.
• Participating in the Department’s educational activities and training programs.
• Attending national and international medical conferences to stay abreast of advancements.
• Maintaining and enhancing professional knowledge and fulfilling continuing education requirements.

Research Engagement

The Consultant will contribute to the hospital's research initiatives by:

• Participating in clinical, basic, and translational research projects in accordance with the Research Advisory Council Policy.
• Working to advance knowledge, improve the quality of postgraduate education, and contribute to the national and international recognition of KFSH&RC.

Administrative Duties

The role includes various administrative responsibilities essential for departmental and hospital operations:

• Undertaking administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Section or Chairman.
• Participating in all mandatory departmental activities and serving on departmental and hospital committees, as required.
• Assisting the department in developing and implementing techniques and practices to maximize resource utilization across KFSH&RC.
• Adhering to current hospital and medical staff bylaws, all relevant rules, regulations, and policies, and staying updated on any changes.
• Following all hospital-related policies and procedures.
• Participating in personal and peer education, training, and development as applicable.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Consultant, General Dentistry position are required to possess:

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in General Dentistry.
• Demonstrated qualifications and adherence to current medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, and hospital policies for a Consultant-level role.
