About the Consulting Psychologist Role
Ali Bin Ali Hospital, a privately owned healthcare facility with over 10 years of experience, is seeking a full-time Consulting Psychologist to join its team in Riyadh. The hospital operates 45 consulting clinics, four operating rooms, a catheterization laboratory, an emergency department, and intensive care services, supported by comprehensive radiology and laboratory departments.
Role Overview and Responsibilities
The Consulting Psychologist will be responsible for conducting psychological assessments, providing individual and group counseling, and offering support to patients managing a variety of mental health concerns. Key duties include collaborating with medical and nursing staff to integrate psychological care into patient treatment plans, meticulously documenting clinical findings, and maintaining accurate patient records. The role also involves participating in case discussions, contributing to multidisciplinary care plans, and advising staff on psychological and behavioral issues. Additionally, the psychologist may develop patient education materials, support crisis intervention efforts, and promote mental health awareness within the hospital.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should possess a strong foundation in Psychology and Medicine, with the ability to effectively integrate psychological care within medical settings. Demonstrated proficiency in counseling and mental health support for diverse patient populations is essential. The role requires expertise in psychological assessment, including diagnostic evaluations and standardized testing.
- An advanced degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology (Master’s or Doctorate) from an accredited institution.
- Relevant licensure or eligibility for licensure as a psychologist in the applicable jurisdiction.
- Experience working in hospital or multidisciplinary clinical environments is highly beneficial.
Required Skills
Successful candidates will exhibit strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively within a team. Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Arabic is considered an advantage.
