About the Role

Egis, an international leader in architecture, consulting, construction engineering, and mobility services, is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves overseeing all facets of construction contract administration to ensure compliance, manage risks, and support effective project execution within a dynamic global organization.

Role Overview

The Contracts Manager will act as a crucial liaison between project teams, clients, vendors, and legal departments. The primary objective is to safeguard organizational interests while fostering positive business relationships through meticulous contract management. Key Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and draft construction contracts, including agreements with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors, ensuring clarity, compliance, and risk mitigation.
  • Manage the entire contract lifecycle from initiation to closeout, encompassing execution, implementation, monitoring, and renewal.
  • Identify and assess contractual risks, liabilities, and compliance requirements, developing appropriate mitigation strategies and recommendations.
  • Process and manage change orders, amendments, and contract modifications, maintaining accurate documentation and audit trails.
  • Monitor contractor and vendor performance against contractual terms, addressing non-compliance issues promptly.
  • Maintain organized contract files and databases using document management systems, ensuring all documentation is current and accessible.
  • Coordinate with project managers, finance, procurement, and legal teams to resolve contract-related issues and disputes.
  • Prepare and present contract status reports, risk assessments, and performance metrics to senior management.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions with external parties to achieve favorable outcomes while maintaining professional relationships.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with Saudi Arabian regulations, local laws, and organizational policies.
  • Track contract milestones, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure timely performance and accountability.
  • Support claims management and dispute resolution processes when contractual disagreements arise.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in construction contract administration or related contract management roles.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction industry practices, project delivery methods, and construction processes.
  • A strong understanding of construction law, contractual obligations, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Proven expertise in contract review, analysis, drafting, and negotiation.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks and liabilities.
  • Proficiency with contract management software, ERP systems, and document management platforms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are considered a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience with change order management and claims administration.
  • Familiarity with vendor and supplier management processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain comprehensive contract documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Professional demeanor with strong ethical standards and integrity.
