Yamama Cement, a prominent industrial company, is seeking a qualified Control Operator to join its operations team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is integral to ensuring the continuous and reliable operation of the plant's control systems.

The Role of a Control Operator

The Control Operator is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing control systems and Distributed Control System (DCS) equipment. This role ensures safe, reliable, and uninterrupted plant operations by actively monitoring systems and performing necessary interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for control systems and DCS equipment.
• Monitor control room systems and verify equipment performance.
• Test protection, safety, and interlock signals.
• Configure and modify POLCID control logic.
• Calibrate field instruments and ensure measurement accuracy.
• Prepare maintenance reports and technical documentation.
• Coordinate maintenance activities and spare parts requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Control Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in industrial control systems.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with POLCID.
• Experience in the cement industry or heavy industrial environments is preferred.

Technical Skills and Expertise

Candidates should possess practical experience and technical proficiency in the following areas:

• Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
• Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
• Instrumentation and calibration techniques
• Troubleshooting industrial control systems
