Control Room Operator

About the Role

Abdul Latif Jameel Company Limited is seeking a Control Room Operator to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 1-3 years of experience and focuses on ensuring the operational integrity and effective monitoring of security systems within allocated facilities.

Role Purpose and Context

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that all allocated facilities equipped with CCTV and FLIR systems are consistently connected to the Central Control Room (CCR) and maintain an operational functionality of at least 90%–95%. The role requires advanced knowledge in operating and monitoring CCTV/FLIR systems according to established guidelines and manuals, directly impacting the management of security associate attendance and ensuring full security capacity across all sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CCTV and FLIR systems in accordance with provided guidelines and manuals.
• Ensure effective communication and accessibility to all sites connected to the Control Room.
• Verify that all CCTV systems connected to the Control Room are fully operational.
• Identify and report all fire alarms and motion detection alerts generated by the CCTV system at ALJ facilities.
• Respond to emergencies as per the Company’s Emergency Policy and Procedures.
• Monitor security associate attendance and punctuality, ensuring all sites are manned and recording any incidents in the Occurrence Book (OB).
• Immediately inform the security in charge on duty if any security guard is not relieved or if a post is unoccupied.
• Notify the concerned manager of any incidents occurring at ALJ premises within their area of responsibility.
• Record all emergency activities with necessary details to facilitate comprehensive incident reporting.
• Ensure all gates are locked and keys are securely kept and maintained.
• Monitor the CCTV/FLIR system and report any abnormalities to the security senior supervisor.
• Conduct health checks on each shift to ensure system operation and report any faults to the CCR.
• Ensure timely deployment of security dogs and record any inconsistencies at applicable sites.
• Monitor contractors and visitors via CCTV and report any inconsistencies.
• Formally hand over the shift to the incoming duty operator, detailing all incidents and activities.
• Maintain control room equipment, including CCTV and NVRs, and report any faults for prompt action.
• Manage access to the Control Room, ensuring all guests and visitors obtain an access permit prior to their visit.

Decision-Making Authority

The job holder is authorized to grant access to the CCTV system for heads of departments, based on instructions provided by line managers.

Qualifications and Experience

• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated advanced knowledge in operating and monitoring CCTV/FLIR systems.
