Core Network Engineer (Arista)

About the Role

Systems Arabia is seeking an experienced Core Network Engineer (Arista) to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on data center networking, migration, and hybrid cloud connectivity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring seamless data center migrations, network reliability, and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Arista core network infrastructure, including leaf-spine architecture, MLAG, VXLAN/EVPN, and Layer 2/3 networking.
• Lead end-to-end data center migration activities, including discovery, dependency mapping, cutover planning, and execution.
• Architect and manage hybrid cloud connectivity using Azure ExpressRoute, OCI FastConnect, and GCP Interconnect.
• Configure and optimize network protocols and technologies, including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VRFs, QoS, load balancing, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Perform capacity planning, network monitoring, firmware upgrades, and security hardening.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues to ensure high availability and performance.
• Maintain technical documentation, including HLDs, LLDs, runbooks, and change management records.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 8+ years of experience in core network engineering, data center networking, or related infrastructure roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Arista EOS, CloudVision, and network fabric design and operations.
• Proven experience leading data center migrations, including cutover planning and execution.
• In-depth knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VXLAN/EVPN, MLAG, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
• Strong network troubleshooting and packet-level analysis skills.
• Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds or Zabbix.

Preferred Skills and Certifications

• Certifications such as Arista ACE-A/P, Cisco CCNP/CCIE, or Microsoft AZ-700 are an advantage.
• Knowledge of network automation using Ansible or Python is a plus.
