About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians with procedures in the OR, Cardiac Cath Lab, or any other setting as needed.
  • Observe and monitor patients during procedures, identifying signs of distress or medical emergencies, taking appropriate remedial action, and notifying the nurse and/or physician as necessary.
  • Generate diagnostic information, obtain measured and calculated data, and prepare preliminary reports for physician review.
  • Document and log all patient events and procedures accurately.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and the safe operation of all equipment, monitoring for hazards or maintenance needs and reporting them to the Senior Cardiovascular Technologist or Manager.
  • Calibrate and operate equipment according to established protocols.
  • Clean and disinfect clinical equipment in accordance with Laboratory, Hospital, and manufacturer policies and instructions.
