This role supports the Ar Rjum Project, a greenfield gold project situated in the Central Arabian Gold Region, approximately 200 km north-east of Taif towards Riyadh, and about 26 km south of Al Mouwayh.

Project Overview

The Ar Rjum Project encompasses three open pit mining operations, complete with associated waste dumps and ore stockpiles. It also includes a processing plant, tailings management facilities, and comprehensive supporting infrastructure. This infrastructure comprises water and power supply systems, maintenance facilities, offices, and both temporary and permanent accommodation villages, forming a significant development in the region.

The Role: Cost Engineer QURR

As a Cost Engineer QURR for the Ar Rjum Project, you will play a critical role in managing project finances and ensuring cost efficiency. This full-time position involves preparing accurate cost forecasts, reviewing cost trends, and implementing robust cost control measures. Your detailed analysis will be instrumental in identifying and delivering innovative solutions to complex cost engineering challenges throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cost budgets and ensure accurate cost and cashflow forecasts, utilizing the change management system.
• Perform ongoing cost and cash flow analysis to support project financial oversight.
• Monitor contractor progress, verify monthly incurred costs, prepare monthly accruals, and provide detailed variance analysis.
• Ensure all approved trends and changes are accurately incorporated into the overall project Estimate at Completion (EAC) and budget for both cost and quantities.
• Prepare routine performance reports and conduct special studies related to the assigned scope for presentation to project, corporate, and/or customer management teams.
• Maintain open communication channels with other organizations to facilitate effective cost engineering analysis and control activities.

Required Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant cost engineering or project controls capacity. This experience should demonstrate a proven ability to manage complex project costs, forecasts, and reporting within large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects.
