About the Role
Fircroft is seeking a Cost Senior Specialist to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position focuses on overseeing project financial performance through diligent monitoring of resource allocation against approved budgets. The role is crucial for ensuring projects remain profitable and within financial constraints.
Core Responsibilities
The Cost Senior Specialist will be responsible for a range of financial oversight activities, including:
- Budget Monitoring: Tracking project resources across labor, materials, and equipment to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
- Technical Cost Analysis: Analyzing cost components in relation to technical progress, supporting Value Engineering and Cost Impact evaluations.
- Performance Reporting: Preparing weekly and monthly performance reports utilizing the Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology.
- Variance Analysis: Identifying budget deviations, investigating root causes, and recommending corrective actions and recovery plans.
- ERP & Data Support: Collaborating with finance and project teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting outputs from ERP systems.
Required Qualifications
Candidates for this role should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- A Bachelor's degree is required.
- Professional certifications such as CCP (Certified Cost Professional) or PMP are highly preferred.
- 5–7 years of experience in project cost control, with a preference for experience in Construction, Contracting, or Manufacturing sectors.
- Proven experience working with ERP systems, including Dynamics, SAP, or Oracle.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, formulas, and data visualization.
- A strong understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts and their practical application.
- The ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear management reporting.
- Basic experience with Microsoft Power BI is preferred.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly.
- The capacity to work under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines.
- A good command of both English and Arabic languages.
Work Environment and Location
This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role requires collaboration with finance and project teams, emphasizing the importance of effective teamwork and communication within a professional setting.
