About the Role
VaporVM is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Consultant with expertise in SAMA Counter Fraud to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a contract position requiring a professional with 5-10 years of relevant experience. The consultant will focus on assessing the implementation and effectiveness of cybersecurity controls aligned with the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) Counter Fraud Framework.
Engagement Focus
The primary objective of this role is to conduct a comprehensive on-site assessment. This includes identifying control gaps and weaknesses within existing cybersecurity measures and providing actionable findings with clear remediation recommendations. Immediate availability for this engagement is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct an on-site assessment of cybersecurity controls in alignment with SAMA’s Counter Fraud Framework.
- Review policies, procedures, technical controls, and evidence to validate their implementation and operating effectiveness.
- Map existing controls to SAMA requirements and identify specific gaps, risks, and control weaknesses related to fraud prevention and detection.
- Perform interviews and walkthroughs with relevant stakeholders and technical teams.
- Validate technical configurations (where applicable) and review supporting artifacts such as logs, reports, change records, and access lists.
- Prepare a concise assessment report detailing prioritized findings, risk ratings, and clear remediation recommendations.
- Present findings to client stakeholders and facilitate Q&A sessions during closure meetings.
- Ensure all work is delivered efficiently and within the stipulated 3-week engagement timeline.
Project Deliverables
- A comprehensive control assessment workbook, including mapping to the SAMA Counter Fraud Framework.
- A concise assessment report featuring prioritized findings and actionable remediation plans.
- A professional presentation of findings to client stakeholders.
Required Experience
Candidates must possess 5 to 10 years of experience in cybersecurity consulting, with a strong background in regulatory compliance and fraud prevention, particularly within the financial sector in Saudi Arabia. Demonstrated expertise with the SAMA Counter Fraud Framework is essential for this role.
Engagement Details
This is a contract role with a defined engagement period of 3 weeks. The position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring on-site presence for the assessment activities.
