About the Delivery Project Director Role

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking an experienced Delivery Project Director to oversee the successful execution of critical projects. This full-time position, based in Riyadh Province, Saudi Arabia, requires a strategic leader capable of ensuring projects align with Qiddiya's overarching objectives and achieve operational excellence. The Director will be accountable for setting project direction, managing timelines and budgets, and ensuring high standards across all project facets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and foster a strong health, safety, and wellbeing culture, including conducting investigations, inspections, and audits.
• Model Qiddiya Values and leadership behaviors consistently.
• Cultivate a high-performance culture through clear direction, feedback, recognition, and by promoting collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
• Provide visible, inclusive leadership, focusing on succession planning, recruitment, retention, and staff mentoring.
• Oversee and integrate design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of assets according to approved designs and budgets.
• Collaborate with other directors and senior management to maximize project efficiencies and ensure seamless integration with wider program objectives.
• Prepare and present project updates to Qiddiya Control committees and relevant groups.
• Lead project review processes to ensure accurate progress reporting and comprehensive understanding of all project elements.
• Work closely with commercial, contracts, and cost teams to manage project budgets and financials effectively.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate project delivery risks through the implementation of adequate controls.
• Leverage peer group interactions for collaboration, lessons learned, and innovation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience is required, with a preference for 15-20 years in a Project Management role, leading complex projects from initiation to closure.
• Demonstrated experience in mega/large-scale complex design and construction programs within private and/or government sectors.
• Expert understanding of commercial and contract management.
• Significant experience in the development, implementation, and management of business systems, including policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practices.
