About the Role

E-Solutions is seeking a Denodo Technical Lead with over 10 years of experience to join our team in Riyadh, KSA. This is a full-time position focused on leveraging data virtualization technologies to support enterprise data initiatives.

Core Responsibilities

The Denodo Technical Lead will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, and administration of data virtualization solutions. This includes creating and managing virtual data layers, integrating diverse data sources, and ensuring the performance, security, and governance of the Denodo platform.

Data Virtualization and Integration

• Design and develop data virtualization layers, including base, derived, and interface views.
• Integrate data from various sources such as RDBMS, APIs, cloud platforms, and flat files.
• Build logical and semantic data models to support enterprise reporting needs.

Denodo Platform Development and Optimization

• Develop Denodo views, VQL scripts, and data services (REST/SOAP).
• Create and expose reusable data services to downstream applications.
• Implement data transformations, joins, and data pipelines within the Denodo environment.
• Optimize query performance through caching, indexing, and federated queries.
• Tune Denodo views and queries for scalability and efficiency, monitoring system performance and troubleshooting bottlenecks.

Security, Governance, and Administration

• Implement data security measures, including data masking and role-based access controls (RBAC).
• Ensure adherence to enterprise data governance standards.
• Manage metadata, data lineage, and audit processes.
• Configure and maintain Denodo environments across development, testing, and production stages.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve Denodo-related issues, managing deployments, scheduler jobs, and environment configurations.
• Provide support for production operations and incident management.

Collaboration and Technical Expertise

• Collaborate effectively with data architects, business analysts, and BI teams.
• Translate business requirements into robust data solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, integration flows, and standards.
• Define and enforce Denodo development and deployment best practices, ensuring knowledge sharing across teams.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong experience with the Denodo Platform (Development and/or Administration).
• Proficiency in Data Virtualization concepts.
• Expertise in SQL and VQL.
• Solid understanding of Data Modelling (logical & semantic models).
• Knowledge of APIs (REST, SOAP), JSON, and XML.
• Familiarity with Data Warehousing & ETL/ELT concepts.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL.
• A minimum of +10 years of relevant experience is required.
